BRIGHT PRINCIPLE FEATURES


Many kinds of dynamic systems produce unwanted effects such as ringing, harmonics, or possible impact. Ringing and harmonics may result in time delays. Accommodating impact may add bulk and cost.

An advanced diesel fuel injector quickly and directly operates its needle. (Currently, ported fuel pressure indirectly operates the needle.) An original proof-of-speed direct needle actuator was quick but it also rang. A ringing needle will cause ringing fuel spray.

The Bright Principle overcame needle ringing at speed as shown by test. Follow-on Bright Principle variants can suit desired and/or optimum operation such as
